There is nothing quite as rewarding, after a long search, to finally uncover those elusive details; names and dates. If they are your relatives, it is all the more exciting.

Sometimes it can be a little disturbing, as our ancestors had many a skeleton in the cupboard. I know, when my father was still alive, and on one of our excursions to the Records Office, I could hear him tut-tutting as he read through the massive dusty old registers and found time after time that children were born out of wedlock!

I hope that the information on this site; the articles, and my own story, will inspire you to at least research your own family.
